My kids and I just returned from our first Disney World vaca and we are excited to start planning our second visit, but I am noticing that I can't pick dates past Dec 2013? Do you know when I can start planning my trip for April 2014?

    Hi there Dana,

You sound like me!  I am known for always booking future Disney vacations before I ever leave from the current one!  I am so happy to hear that you had such a magical experience that you're already planning your return!

You can book your Walt Disney World vacation up to 500 days in advance, but since it's so early, there are a few things you'll need to know.  You cannot book this early online, you'll have to call the Walt Disney World Travel Company at (407) WDISNEY.  You also can't book vacation packages at this time, as they have not yet been released for dates beyond 2013.  You will have to book a room-only reservation at this time, but you can modify it after the 2014 rates are announced which is usually in late summer.

I recommend going ahead and reserving your room now, which will ensure availability at the resort of your choice, and then call in to modify your reservation if an awesome vacation package is announced at a later date!

    Best Wishes,
