Hi Robert!
I remember the days when my girls were little - they wanted to meet EVERY Character, ALL the Princesses, and get autographs to fill their cute books. We had a game plan in each theme park, and we tried our best to fill their autograph books on our Walt Disney World Resort vacations.
At this time, during Walt Disney World's
phased reopening, Character appearances have been modified to meet current health and safety guidelines. While Disney Characters aren't currently greeting Guests or signing autographs, you will still have the opportunity to see all of your favorite Disney friends when you visit the theme parks! Each of Walt Disney World Resort's four theme parks provide Guests with fun Character appearances in pop-up "mini-parades" at random times throughout the day.
In Magic Kingdom Park, there will be
Character Cavalcades that make their way along the parade route. You can expect to see the Magic Kingdom Cavalcade, Mickey and Friends Cavalcade, A Goofy Cavalcade, The Royal Princess Processional, and Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure.
In
Epcot, keep an eye out for the Mickey and Friends World Tour and the Princess Promenade, as well as random Characters that may pop up in some of the gorgeous grassy areas around the park! One especially busy spot is the area between the Land Pavilion and the Imagination Pavilion.
Disney's Hollywood Studios is home to some
super-cool motorcades, including the Mickey and Friends Motorcade, and the Pixar Pals Motorcade. There's also a motorcade featuring favorite Disney Junior friends, including Doc McStuffins and my favorite, Vamperina.
In Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, keep an eye on the waterways to spot some
fun flotillas passing by, full of favorite Disney friends! You might see the Mickey and Friends Flotilla, Discovery Island Drummers Flotilla (I love to hear this one as it passes by!), Discovery River Character Cruise, Donald's Dino Bash Flotilla, or see Goofy and Pals Set Sail!
From time to time, you might see Disney Characters in random spots in the theme parks - on a balcony, on a stage, on a porch...distanced from Guests, but ready for a socially-distanced selfie! So, bring your cameras, but leave the autograph books at home this time around. I truly hope that some of our favorite Disney traditions, like Character Greetings, can safely return soon. Until then, Guests can continue to enjoy lots of magical moments, just in a different way!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question, and I hope you make lots of pixie-dusted memories on your Disney vacation.
