Hi my 2 kids and me are planning to come to Disney World in January 2019. I know it’s too early to book, I plan on booking it in July 2018. My question is, if you pay for it all at once and not payments, is a deposit still required?

Hi Lisa, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I am so happy to hEAR you are planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort with your two children. I have also traveled to Walt Disney World with my kids, and some of our greatest memories were made during these vacations. As a busy parent, it is often easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life, chores and responsibilities. However, during our "Disney time", as my kids like to call it, we can just focus on spending quality time together playing in the Theme Parks, relaxing at our Resort, and reconnecting as a family, and that's Priceless!

Lisa, if when booking your Walt Disney World Resort vacation; whether it's a Magic Your Way Vacation Package or a Walt Disney World Resort hotel room reservation, if you decide to pay for your trip immediately when making your reservation, you are definitely welcome to do so. When paying for your trip in this manner, there is no additional deposit required.

Otherwise, you are welcome to simply pay only the deposit amount in order to guarantee your reservation. This amount will then ultimately be deducted from the total amount of your reservation. Then, when your final payment becomes due, any amount you paid initially by way of deposit, or by way of any optional interim payments, will be deducted from the total balance outstanding.

I hope this information is helpful Lisa. Please let us know if you have any other questions. We are here to help and want you to have the best possible Disney vacation!
