Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tom!
You are arriving at the Walt Disney World Resort tomorrow, and I’m just so excited for you! Let the magic begin!
Tom, I love your question. I’m the mom who plans every outfit to coordinate with the park we’re visiting, looks for the perfect matching t-shirts, and will
DisneyBound at every possible opportunity. Walt Disney World is the place where the story comes alive, and I’m in total support of making the story come alive in all the ways possible! On our recent visit, I wore reindeer antlers to
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in tribute to my favorite characters, Santa’s dancing reindeer, and had a blast interacting with characters, who loved my extra holiday flair!
I’m happy to confirm that your plan to wear pirate t-shirts and hats for your Mouseketeers’ visit to
The Pirates League will be argggggh-solutely fine. You’re right that the
Park Rules prohibit costumes for Guests aged 14 and older, but a themed outfit is welcomed as long as you’re not impersonating a character or Cast member. Just as
Minnie Mouse ear headbands help Guests of all ages dress the part, a pirate tee and hat are part of the fairytale spirit. Be sure to
take some family photos with your swashbucklers while you're living your best pirate lives after their makeovers!
Similarly, I don’t think your friends will have a problem with their lederhosen in Epcot. They’re ready to raise a glass, dance a polka, and sing along at
Biergarten Restaurant. Things are extra festive at this time of year, with a traditional German Christmas Market feel in the restaurant. While visiting the Germany Pavilion, make sure to stop and take a look at the miniature train and village – it’s all decked out for the holidays and so, so fun!
I hope you enjoy every moment of your
holiday visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, Tom!
Wishing you a merry and magical vacation,
Robyn
