My kids will be going on the Pirate Adventure from GF in Nov from 9:30-11:30. Any suggestions for a restaurant or other activity hubby and I could enjoy while waiting for the kids? Don't want to be late for pick up time so need something walkable. thanks

    Hi there Sara!

I love the way you've planned your Walt DIsney World vacation! A Pirate Adventure for the kids while mom and dad enjoy a little bit of time together is a perfect complement to any family's vacation! My own kids have enjoyed many Pirate Adventures around Disney's resort hotels while my husband and I have enjoyed breakfast, brunch, leisurely walks and even short visits to the spa!

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is an ideal location for the two of you to enjoy some time for yourselves while the kids are off having fun. The greatest part is - you don't even need to leave the property - so you'll lose no time to travel.

If you'd enjoy a nice meal together, I'd recommend a breakfast reservation for 2 at the Grand Floridian Cafe at 9:45am. You'll be there, just by walking back to the main lobby building, within minutes of seeing the kids off at the resort marina. There are some delicious options here! My favourites include the Vanilla-Laced French Toast with a side of Canadian Bacon (of course!) and a smooth Latte topped with a cocoa-dusted Mickey!

If you'd like to indulge a little more than that, consider reserving a spa treatment for 2 at the newly redesigned and recently re-opened Senses - A Disney Spa at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. Again, it's just a short walk away, so you'll be able to budget exactly the amount of time needed to be back in time for the kids' return. I've included a link to information about the spa where you'll also find a downloadable menu of spa services. To reserve a spa appointment, call (407) WDW-SPAS or 407-939-7727.

I hope these ideas help you with your planning Sara.
Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
