Can kids order the cheeseburger or chicken tenders at the Space 220 Lounge? I don't see any kids items on the Lounge menu. My kids are pretty picky eaters but the grown-ups would love to experience the lounge.

Hi there, Peter. Welcome to planDisney

Space 220 is an out-of-this-world experience. I was lucky enough to dine there right when the restaurant first opened and was blown away by the experience. It's amazing getting to enjoy a meal 220 miles about EPCOT. The views are just stellar.

Right now, because Space 220 is so popular, the lounge area does require advanced dining reservations. If you have not yet made them for your trip, I highly encourage you to do so as soon as possible as this is a highly sought-after dining experience. You can make dining reservations for the Space 220 Lounge online or over the phone by calling 407-WDW-DINE.

My favorite way to enjoy Space 220 right now is actually in this lounge space. It offers so much flexibility in the menu offerings. Oftentimes when I am at EPCOT, I am not looking to have a huge meal because I love snacking around The World Showcase. The lounge is a perfect solution to this because you can either order off of the prix fixe menu if you are looking for a full dining experience or if you'd like something a little less you can enjoy items off of the Flight Bite or appetizer menu. Because of this flexibility, your kids should be able to order the children's prix fixe meal without any problems. You will, however, have to order them the whole prix fixe meal. You wouldn't be able to just order chicken fingers a la carte. The prix fixe meals for kids include an entree, dessert and beverage. I don't think that's a bad deal, especially considering you'll get a cosmic cupcake - yum!

As I said, the Space 220 Lounge is so flexible with the menu so this isn't going to be a problem at all. For the grownups of the group, if you decide to just do items off of the Flight Bite menu I highly recommend the Blue Moon Cauliflower. I was pleasantly surprised by that dish!

I hope this helps ease your mind about your picky eaters at Space 220, Peter. If you have any other questions about this dining experience or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help.

    Enjoy and safe travels!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
