my kids are older teens. what are some good dining options at downtown disney? how far is it from the cabins at Ft. Wilderness?

    Hi Randi,

There are a wide variety of dining options available at Downtown Disney.  Check this link to see them all.  I work with teenagers every day and I'd have to say I haven't come across one yet that doesn't appreciate the high energy, fun atmosphere at Planet Hollywood.  That's probably a safe bet for your children.  However, if they are open to trying more exotic foods, then I would suggest Bongo's for Cuban fare, Fulton's Crab House for a wide variety of fresh seafood, or Portobello for Italian dishes.  If they're looking for a quick sandwich, you can't beat the Earl of Sandwich!  Of course, it never hurts to top off an amazing meal with a sweet treat from Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop.  Yum!

Since the cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are in the Magic Kingdom area, it would likely take a good twenty minutes via Disney bus to reach the Downtown Disney area, but the dining and shopping options there make it well worth the ride.

    Have fun!
