My kids are not big eaters so for instance my 9 and 7 year old at the rainforest cafe can they share a table service meal? I would be willing to pay for an extra drink it just seems like a big waste for them to get there own individuel meals.

I feel your pain, Melissa.  I cannot stand wasting food either, not to mention the money it costs to buy aforementioned food.  I can happily report that your children will, indeed, be permitted to share a meal at Rainforest Cafe.  My children did just that during our visit last year.  In fact, you don't have to be embarrassed to ask about sharing meals at any Walt Disney World restaurant.  Depending upon the location, they might even split the plate for you before they bring it to your table.  We've had our children share many times and we find that not only does it give them a wider variety of menu options to choose from, but also when they share meals they both are satisfied with portion size and we don't feel guilty about leaving uneaten food behind.  I hope that puts your mind at ease.  Enjoy your trip!
