Hi there Diana!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! What an exciting adventure you have planned! There are so many things to do on the ship and wonderful memories to be made!
Castaway Cay is easily one of my most favorite port to stop at when cruising on Disney Cruise Line. My family always looks forward to our day there. My husband and I begin our morning participating in the Castaway 5K fun run while our young children play in Scuttle’s Cove kids club. Then we promptly all head to the beach for a day of fun in the sun!
Your children do not need passports for a stop at Castaway Cay. When disembarking the ship you will each need to take your Key to the World card and travelers 18 years and older will need to bring a photo ID as well. Aside from these items and your sunscreen you won’t need anything else! Towels are provided as you exit the ship and lounge chairs and umbrellas are plentiful on the beach.
While preparing for your trip, make sure you explore Port Adventures to see all the
activities available for you on Castaway Cay including parasailing, snorkeling, bicycle rentals and even beach side spa treatments. Once there, pick a spot and relax before enjoying a swim in the ocean. When lunchtime rolls around enjoy a delicious lunch at Cookies BBQ complete with huge chocolate chip cookies for dessert! Don’t leave the island without stopping by one of the two gift shops on the island that have unique souvenirs that are only available at Castaway Cay!
Before you know its you will be on the beach with your ship as your amazing backdrop!
Happy Sailing!
