If my kids and I come to magic Kingdom at 8 am or opening can we leave for a nap and then return to the park?

Hi Keri! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Today is the BIG day! It is the day that your vacation to "The Most Magical Place on Earth" begins! I bet you and your kiddos are very excited ... I know I would be!

I am happy to say that you are allowed to leave Magic Kingdom Park and return on the same day after your nap. The only time you are unable to return is if the theme park reaches maximum capacity. Fortunately, this rarely happens, and when it does, it is usually around Christmas or New Year's Eve. If you have a Park Hopper ticket, you can leave one theme park and enter another theme park on the same day, but even with a 1 Park Per Day ticket, you can exit and enter the same theme park on that same day. My family often leaves for some rest time at our Disney Resort hotel midday, and I recommend doing the same to other families, especially families with young children like we have. It is important to get some rest, so everyone has the energy to experience all of the magic around the Walt Disney World Resort!

I hope you have a wonderful visit, Keri! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
