My kids & I love pin trading! Every visit I get them a pin with the year on it. This year our trip dates are 12/28-1/8/13.I would like to make sure they get a 2012 & 2013 pin. When does Disney usually transition their pins from one year to the next

I have the same tradition with my children, Jacqueline.  We visited Disney during the holidays in 2010, and like yours, our trip did span two calendar years.  Here's the bad news: we were totally unable to find 2010 pins.  We scoured every single pin location and asked around but 2010 pins were nowhere to be found.  I fear that the same will be true for your 2012 pins in December, especially given how late in the year your trip occurs.  We settled for a New Years Eve 2010 pin and bought the traditional 2011 pin.  We had hoped for a traditional 2010 pin as well.  You could always opt for a specialized New Years pin.  If it were me, I wouldn't have high hopes for finding a traditional 2012 pin, but rather--if you have your heart set on one--purchase one online and bring it along with you just to be safe.  I hope that helps!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
