I have 2 kids under 18 and 1 under 13 which I know is different. They have the MDE app but we can’t figure out how to get it so they can see our plans. I don’t want to use my account on their phones. What are we doing wrong?

Hi, Alicia! Welcome back to planDisney! I'm just thrilled to see that we've been able to help you with so many details on your past Walt Disney World Resort visits. Helping other Guests plan magical vacations is what we panelists do best!

The most efficient way to get the whole family on the same page when it comes to your vacation plans is to connect via the Family & Friends List in your My Disney Experience account. I do need to note that we've recently gotten word that the minimum age to create a My Disney Experience account is changing to 16, so if your kids are younger than that, they'll still be managed under your account. If your older teens are at least 16, you can have them create their own accounts, then add them to your Family & Friends list. That should generate a request that will be emailed to them. Once they accept the request, you're all connected and they should be able to see your plans.

If you do need to have the same account on multiple devices, Hakuna Matata! No worries! My husband doesn't have his own account, so he loaded the My Disney Experience app on his phone and just logs into mine. He can see and adjust all of our plans without a hitch so we both always have a current snapshot. It's a perfectly seamless way to include everyone in the process.

I hope this helps you plan an amazing vacation for the whole family, Alicia! It's been a pleasure chatting with you, and we look forward to seeing you again real soon!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
