Kids are 5 & 7. Hotel Choices 1) club level at Yacht Club 2) Contemporary w/ park view (no club level) 3) Grand Floridian (no club level or park view). Plan to visit MK and 1 other park. What do you recommend? Location is important, but so is nice hote

    Hi, Amy!

You are choosing from some amazing resorts, so tough choice!  For location, you cannot beat the Contemporary.  You are just a short walk from the Magic Kingdom or you can take the monorail.  You also can use the monorail to get to Epcot which will be a lot of fun for the kids.  The view from the Tower Rooms into the Magic Kingdom are unforgettable!   Watching the Castle from your room is simply magical.

The Yacht Club is in a great location since you can walk to Epcot in about 10 minutes.  You can also walk or take the boat to Hollywood Studios.  The best part of this resort is definitely the pool.  Stormalong Bay is, in my opinion, the best pool on property.  It is huge, has a great slide, and even a sand-bottom!  How great is that for a 5 and 7 year old!  For my family, the biggest downfall of this resort is that they do not have a full food court, but they have a nice grab-and-go and some goodies in their market.

Grand Floridian has wonderful monorail access to the Magic Kingdom and a gorgeous lobby.  While nice, I think this would be my third choice of the three.

So, I am sure you are waiting for my final answer!  I went to the experts (my kids!) and they voted for Contemporary.  Having stayed in all three, they love the food court, the fun shops, overlooking Magic Kingdom, and the wonderful views of the park.  In the mornings, they loved to get up and watch all the activity in Chef Mickey's down on the 4th floor, they thought this was so fun!

Wherever you decide, you will not be sorry.  Once you decide, let me know and I  will be happy to give you more information on that property.  I can also help with dining locations or choosing your second park, so let me know !  Have fun planning your magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
