I am 48 and my kids are grown. They are not as big of a Disney fan as I am. I am considering to do a solo Walt Disney World trip. Any tips?

Hi, Patricia! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I would like to start by saying that I brought my mom on her first Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and though she is not a crazed Disney nerd like myself, she still had a fabulous time and can’t wait to go back! Perhaps you will face a similar situation with your children? That being said, if you plan on taking a solo trip there are still many ways to have a magical time! Having taken my first solo adventure to Epcot just last month, I honestly can’t wait to go back by myself! Being able to do what YOU want to do when YOU want to do it is SO liberating! I highly suggest purchasing Memory Maker as you won’t have anyone with you to take your photos. I was able to tour the World Showcase and meet all my favorite characters while having Disney’s PhotoPass photographers capture these special moments! Of course, I also found that I quickly made new friends in queues and many of them would offer to take my photos for me.

I also recommend staying at a Disney Resort hotel in order to enjoy complimentary Resort transportation and additional benefits all while being in the middle of the magic! Why not take this opportunity to explore one of the Special Events and Tours!? Personally, I would love to experience Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour at Magic Kingdom Park.

I have many more tips for you but sadly am running out of space, so please visit us again soon!

    Have a magical day,
