Can kids go on rides by themselves? My 9-year-old and 3-year-old want to go on some rides by themselves, my husband and I will be with them but in a different ride vehicle-such as alien swirling saucers or behind them on the Pooh ride, is this allowed?

Welcome back to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Stephanie!

Oh, you must be so excited for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World. My husband and I can't wait for our couples-only visit, too! :-)

As you put together the fun details of your vacation, be sure to take a look at this great resource for Planning for Preschool Kids & Little Ones. There, you'll see a link to a list of 80+ Great Attractions for Preschoolers.  When you click on the name of the particular attraction you'd like to try, glance to the right of that new page and click on "Show Safety, Accessibility and Guest Policies". The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, for example, states that "Children under age 7 years must be accompanied by a person age 14 years or older." This is also true for Alien Swirling Saucers.

However, there are other attractions that offer younger Guests the opportunity to enjoy without such close supervision. For example, your two can sit together--with Mom and Dad watching from the back--at EPCOT's  Turtle Talk With Crush and can play together at EPCOT's Advanced Training Lab's interactive playground.

When we toured the parks with little ones, my husband would ride in the vehicle with one child, and I would ride in the vehicle with the other, switching it up so that we could enjoy some fun with each one. Mickey and Minnie want to be sure that everyone enjoys the parks safely, and I'm sure you'll all have so much fun together!

As you plan your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Stephanie, be sure to send more questions our way. We love to help!
