Can my kids go on excursions without passport? They are 4,6,8 and 16

Hello, Sinoun, and welcome to the planDisney panel! I'm so glad you thought to visit us with your question as you prepare to set sail next month.

The countdown is drawing to a close and I can practically feel the ocean breeze just thinking about it. You will be welcomed aboard soon, so it's great that you are preparing ahead as you gather your necessary travel documents. If you are sailing to the Bahamas, Caribbean, Pacific Coast, Canada, or Bermuda on a round trip cruise from Port Canaveral, Miami, Galveston, San Diego, San Juan, New Orleans, or New York, travelers that are U.S. citizens have options to travel on these itineraries without a passport. Please see the Passport and Travel Documentation guide on the Disney Cruise Line for more information.

If you are sailing on one of the above-mentioned itineraries and have the necessary documentation for embarking on your cruise, your children do not need to have passports to experience Port Adventures or to disembark the ship while visiting ports of call. I hope that clears up your question and that you are all set for adventure on the high seas.

Before leaving home, be sure to download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. It will be the way to view your activity schedule, dining menus, and your dining rotation schedule. You can also use the chat function to keep in touch with your fellow travelers while sailing. From home, you can use the app to check in for your cruise 30 days prior to setting sail. Be sure to have photos of your required travel documents and pictures taken of each member in your sailing party. These photos should be taken from the shoulders up, with a plain background and without any accessories (eye glasses, masks, or extra ears) worn in the photo. With these photos in .jpg format, you'll be ready to cruise through the check in process and pick a Port Arrival Time for your embarkation day.

If you have any further questions, please sail our way again. It's our hope that we can provide helpful information to our fellow guests. I wish you a wonderful voyage with the Disney Cruise Line!

    Happy Sailing,

    Adrianna
