Hi Jamie!
I honestly thought that my kids were never going to get tired of chicken nuggets, and that was up until our last vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort. By day 3 of our trip they were begging for another alternative.
Whenever you visit any of the restaurants be sure to look out for the Mickey Check symbol. This symbol represents healthier food choices for kids. Unfortunately I was not able to find any of the Kids Power Pack Meals at Magic Kingdom for our kids. However I was able to find a lot of great alternatives to chicken nuggets and I will be happy to share my kids favorites! First I would like to share that there are a lot of healthy market style places where you can get great snacks for the kiddos. At Magic Kingdom we love Liberty Square Market and Prince Eric Village Market for the fresh fruit choices. At Cosmic Rays Starlight Café they love the Smuckers Uncrustables Sandwich and the Turkey Sandwich. Pinocchio Village Haus has quickly become a favorite for their cheese or pepperoni pizza. At Peco’s Bills Tall Tale Inn and Café my kids love the Quesadilla.
The last place that I want to talk about it Be Our Guest Restaurant. If you visit this restaurant for breakfast or lunch it is considered a quick service meal.
Dining Reservations are highly recommended and can be made starting 180 days before your arrival. The kids menu is full of delicious and healthy offerings. Mickey Meatloaf, carved turkey, Slow-cooked Pork, and grilled cheese sandwiches are some of the offerings for kids. There isn’t a meal that we have had here they my kids didn’t like.
I hope that I was able to give you some good alternatives to chicken nuggets! Hopefully your kids will find plenty of food that they will like so they can fuel up for all of the energy they will need to get around the world!
