Hi Scott!
Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your great question.
Once your son is a year or two older, a whole new world of additional experiences will open up for him such as
The Pirates League (ages 3+) and even a
Pirate Adventure Cruise (ages 4+).
There is however, a really great experience your whole family can enjoy together - that you may consider as a special event planned
for your young son. It's called the
Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage and it's one of my family's favourite evening activities to enjoy together. Beginning at Disney's Contemporary Resort, it's a fantastic way to view the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular fireworks display, enjoy a special, private meet & greet with characters from Disney's Peter Pan such as Captain Hook, Mr. Smee and even Peter Pan himself, enjoy trivia & prizes and view the amazing Electric Water Pageant! Call (407) WDW-DINE to reserve your family in advance.
Another great experience that may be right up your son's alley would be the
Disney Junior Play 'n Dine character meal at Hollywood & Vine in Disney's Hollywood Studios. This meal can be reserved for breakfast or lunch and includes such characters as Jake the Neverland Pirate, Handy Manny, Special Agent Oso and June from Disney's Little Einsteins. It's a fun and musical way to start your Hollywood Studios day!
Wishing you and your family a Magical time on your Walt Disney World vacation Scott!
