Our kids are getting older and we don't necessarily need character dining. What are some really great restaurants to eat at? Thanks!

Amanda, your question is near and dear to my stomach! Let me share with you my family’s top three Walt Disney World Resort restaurants.
My sons' number one favorite place to re-fuel after a day in the Theme Parks is Teppan Edo. We eat here during every visit to Walt Disney World. Teppan Edo is a hibachi-type restaurant where the chef cooks your meal right in front of you. The chef and servers go out of their way to make your dining experience special. I should also mention the food is delicious. I order the Nihonbashi which is steak and chicken. Try it dipped in yum-yum sauce!
My personal favorite is Be Our Guest Restaurant. This is a popular Walt Disney World Resort restaurant, so be sure to make reservations as soon as you can! I have eaten at Be Our Guest Restaurant for both lunch and dinner. What I love the most about this restaurant is the theming. Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite movies from my childhood, and I feel as though I have been transported back into a ‘tale as old as time’. My favorite lunch dish is the Braised Pork (Coq Au Vin Style). The pork is so tender and full of flavor! For dinner, I order the Grilled Strip Steak. I love steak, but I also enjoy the truffle mayo served with the fries. Of course, do not forget to try the ‘Grey Stuff’ – it’s delicious!
My new favorite is a restaurant we tried last week. You have probably noticed I love meat and at ‘Ohana, there is plenty of it! This is a family-style restaurant with a Hawaiian theme. The ‘Ohana menu is heavy on meats and includes steak, chicken, and shrimp! Make sure you save some room for dessert! The ‘Ohana Bread Pudding à la mode with Bananas-Caramel Sauce is seriously the most delicious thing I have ever eaten. I do not eat sweets but I will be sure to have some of this each time I eat at ‘Ohana in the future!
Well now you have made me hungry, Amanda. I need to find myself a snack! Have a delicious vacation!

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
