My kids are just getting comfortable swimming and we will be visiting the water parks during our next visit. Are there free lifejackets to use? Are lifejackets allowed?

    Hi Jennifer,

Congratulations on your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

You'll be very happy to find out that both Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park provide guests with life jackets absolutely free-of-charge. However, supplies are limited and only available on a first-come, first-served basis. Complementary life jackets can be found at both water parks in the following infant, child, and youth sizes.

Infant/child: Weight less than 30 pounds.
    Child: Weight 30-50 pounds.
    Youth: Weight 50-90 pounds.

You'll also find adult size life jackets at both Disney water parks. If you are concerned about your newly minted swimmers being in the water, I recommend visiting Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. This water park offers more family ride options and play spaces for younger children. By the way, please don't forget to bring lots of sunscreen, water shoes, and sunglasses too.

Thanks for stopping by, and please let us know if you are in need of any further assistance. We'll be more than happy to help you plan an unforgettable vacation.
