Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Donnie. I see that you have a trip to the
Most Magical Place on Earth coming up. I bet you are getting so excited!
Space 220 is an out-of-this-world dining experience. It's so popular right now, Donnie, and to be completely honest with you things are constantly changing around with that restaurant. I think you'll be happy to know that as of right now children are allowed to dine in the
lounge area of Space 220. They will need to be included in the reservation that you've made. There isn't a way to specify that you have children dining on the reservation but when you arrive you can always let the hostess know.
Currently, Guests under the age of 21 are not permitted at the bar at Space 220. Most bar areas at Walt Disney World are child friendly but this place has been so popular this area has been reserved for just those Guests 21 and older. The bar area, right now, is operating on a first-come, first-serve walk-up list.
Donnie, the lounge at Space 220 is actually my favorite way to dine in outer space. I love that there are dining options like the
Flight Bite menu, which are appetizers, or if you are really hungry you can go the prix fixe route. I personally think the Flight Bites are the way to go. I've had almost all of them and they are all pretty good. My favorite happens to be the Blue Moon Cauliflower which is Tempura Fried Cauliflower, Housemade Hot Sauce, Blue Cheese Dust - it's stellar! You can also enjoy Atmospheric Spirits, Worldly Wines and Crew Brews from the lounge area. If that's not really your thing, you will also find a fun list of mocktails and soft drinks to enjoy.
Dining in the lounge, Donnie, you'll embark on the same experience up to the Centauri Space Station for your meal. The elevator to outer space is so neat and you'll be able to enjoy different views going up and down which I thought was pretty cool! If you have any other questions about this, or anything else, please stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have fun!
Jackie H.
