Welcome to planDisney, Abby!
A school trip to
Disney World is so much fun! You've got me reminiscing about my high school band trip to Disney World many eons ago. I have so many great memories from the trip!
Although it isn’t possible to add a dining plan for only some Guests in a room, there are still great ways to make sure your children can purchase food throughout the day, especially if you’re not planning for them to carry cash.
When my family visits Walt Disney World, we almost exclusively use Disney Gift Cards for payment. They can be used for dining, merchandise, experiences, and more. If your child will have a phone with them, I recommend buying a Disney eGift Card from
The Disney Store website. The digital barcode can be scanned right at the register - no card to lose!
A physical gift card works just as well and can be scanned at most points of purchase. You’ll find Disney Gift Cards at many national grocery and pharmacy chains. Once you have a card (digital or physical), you can visit
www.disneygiftcard.com to combine balances and track spending, which is incredibly helpful for budgeting.
For planning and budgeting, I recommend checking out restaurant menus on the Walt Disney World website or in the
My Disney Experience app. The menus include current pricing, so you can have a clear idea of what to budget for each meal. It's also a fun way to start thinking about what you might like to eat during your visit!
If you think of any other questions as you plan, please come back and visit us at
