Hello there, Susan! It's with greatest pride and deepest pleasure that I welcome you to planDisney today!
If your Disney kiddos are under the age of 13, you are quite right that they are unable to have their own
My Disney Experience account. Older Guests between the ages of 13 and 17 can create their own My Disney Experience accounts with some limitations, such as not adding a payment card. So, depending on the age of your little ones, they could use their mobile device to access your My Disney Experience Account.
Please make sure you have
linked all of your family in My Disney Experience. Once linked, you'll be able to view and make plans for one another, such as dining reservations (if you have valid theme park admission and theme park reservations for the same day).
The My Disney Experience App is super helpful, and we found ourselves using it frequently throughout each day - for placing
Mobile Food and Beverage Orders, checking on wait times, or using the interactive map to find the best way around, for example. For this reason, we found bringing a portable mobile phone charger very helpful. You can
purchase a portable phone charging system at third-party operated kiosks located throughout Walt Disney World Resort and get 'refills' throughout your trip.
I hope this information helps you Susan, and if you need anything further ahead of your Walt Disney World trip, please let me know. Have a magical time, Louise
