My kids are 10 and 8, and we have the dining plan. At á la carte table service restaurants am I able to either have the two kids share an adult entree or use one one kids credit and pay for a second kids meal? They like to have the same meals.

    Hi Nadia,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question, my fellow Canadian!

You’ll have several options for your children’s meals during your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. My top recommendation would be for you to have your older child order whatever strikes their fancy off the adult menu and then to split that entrée with their younger sibling (if it’s too much food for them to eat). If, however, both kids would like to have the same kids meal, you should be able to use your older child’s adult Disney Dining Plan entitlement to “pay” for that meal.

That being said, because the items on the kids’ menus are usually so much cheaper than those you can find on the adult ones, I’d recommend paying for that meal out of pocket if you’d like to maximize the value of your Disney Dining Plan. Don’t forget that, if you save enough of your older child’s entitlements, you might be able to splurge on a meal at a Fine/Signature Dining location or even a Dinner Show during your vacation.

I hope my answer helps you plan a delicious Disney dining experience for your entire family. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
