i have 2 kids a daughter that is 11 and a son that is 5. how much money should i set aside as their spending money? for toys as we will have a dining plan

    Hi there Danielle,

Spending money amounts will definitely vary between families on a case by case basis depending on your budget and spending habits so if you asked 100 parents, you'd probably get 100 different answers.

Since you have purchased the Dining Plan, most meals and snacks will already be accounted for so your kids will really only need spending money for souvenirs, special snacks, etc.  I make a habit of letting my daughter know that she won't be able to buy something in every park every day and this has cut down on our spending greatly!

I usually budget about $20 a day for snacks and drinks (which I just pay) and then I give my daughter some extra money just for her to use for souvenirs which varies between $50 and $100 for the entire trip. Most souvenir items cost around $20 a piece so this way, she is able to pick out a few nice things during the trip!

    Hope this helps!
