My kids will be 11 and 12 when we cruise. I am trying to decide whether to enroll them in the kids' club or the tweens club. I'm wondering which club is better suited for younger tweens? Also, can they move between the two clubs during the cruise?

    Ahoy Cindy –
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are thrilled to hear about your upcoming cruise, and thank you for sharing your plans with us. My pirate fairy princess is 11 years old, and on our last cruise on the Fantasy, she was able to enjoy the best of both worlds on Disney Cruise Line. The Oceaneer Club is for pirate children aged 3-12 years old and is an amazingly fun place with character visits, dance parties, themed games, exciting experiments including baking cookies, as well as an imaginative play area. Even though my pirate fairy considers herself a big girl, she loved going to Pixie Hollow to create her own fairies and print them out. Since she is 11, she also had the opportunity to visit Edge (for tweens aged 11-14) where she had fun scavenger hunts, created a music video, made awesome friends and she even went to “Homecoming” on Formal Night! Cindy the best thing about being age 11-12 on Disney Cruise Line is that you get to experience twice the fun. There is no need to choose one over the other, just allow your pirate children to go back and forth. Good luck with your planning and please come back to see us if you need any assistance!
