Can my kids still see the characters at disney? WITH THE CORV19 ?Is the parade cancelled

    Hello, Maryon,

Thank you for sending your question to planDisney!  I'm happy to share with you that many of our beloved Disney characters are out and about at the theme parks, but they are practicing social distancing.   Because of that, they won't be meeting guests to sign autographs or have photos taken.  However, they are still fun to see and wave hello to.  You may even be able to get some to pose in the background of selfies!

When you are visiting the theme parks, many popular characters will be surprising guests with a new experience called Character Cavalcades.  Since they are surprise appearances, there is no schedule to follow to wait to see them; it will always be a surprise! At the Magic Kingdom, you may find some at the Train Station, the Country Bear Jamboree, or even Cinderella Castle (hint:  look up at these spots!).  While there is no longer a traditional parade, there are small versions of the parades with characters on individual floats that will be coming and going through Main Street U.S.A. At Disney's Animal Kingdom, you'll want to look toward the water for character surprises.  The characters are exploring Disney's Hollywood Studios by car, which are adorably themed to match the characters.  And while at EPCOT, Character Cavalcades will pop up throughout the World Showcase as well as a few other locations like the grassy areas near the Imagination Pavilion.  So rest assured, your children will still be able to enjoy all the fun and antics of so many favorite Disney characters, but it will just look different right now.

Wishing you a magical trip!  Please let us know if we can help with any further questions. -Kara
