Hello! My kids built droids at WDW in Jan 2020. It was rainy-ish so didn't get to interact with Galaxy's Edge much. What's the policy on bringing droids to Hollywood Studios? It would be great to see them roll and beep on our next trip.

    Bright Suns, Janet LaRae!

We are honored to see you again at planDisney! The Force is so strong with your family... There’s no doubt that you’re hearing the call of Black Spire Outpost again! I’m so happy to see that you’ve begun planning to live your next adventure in Batuu!

Droids constructed at Droid Depot are really special sidekicks! Padawans and Jedi alike are flocking to craft their very own mech-buddy! You’ll be delighted to know that Disney’s Hollywood Studios welcomes Droids back, after they have been crafted, to interact with the surroundings of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge! Just keep in mind that using a remote-control device to operate your Droid while at the theme parks is prohibited. You’ll want to carry your Droids around Batuu to keep them safe from the invasive forces of the First Order and to allow them to interact with unique elements of the land!

If your Younglings are interested in “upgrading” their custom Droids, feel free to visit the shop section of Droid Depot to pick out accessories for themselves, accessories for their Droid, or an Astromech Personality Chip!

We hope to hear from you many times before your next quest to the galaxy far, far away, Janet LaRae! If you have any additional questions, planDisney is just a quick lightspeed jump away!

    Til the Spire.

When I’m not galavanting around the Disney theme parks, you’ll probably find me reading a good book, outside playing with my family, or learning to do something new. I truly believe that dreams come true, and I look forward to sharing that magic with you!
