My kids both bought a plaque, not the bricks, one was in 2007. The other was 2004. I think I have heard the area they were set up in has been refurbished. What happened to the plaques? Anyway they can be found and given/sold to who originally bought them?

Hello there Barbara and welcome to planDisney. We love that you stopped by today and can help you with those questions about the plaques.

From 1999 to June of 2007 guests had a unique opportunity at EPCOT to take a photo and have the image etched onto a steel tile and have it displayed on large panels with the rest of the global Disney community. EPCOT Leave a Legacy is still available for guests of the park to see. to locate your particular tile there is a new tile finder feature available that allows you to scan a QR code located outside of the main entrance. Just follow the prompts to locate your legacy. If you are not comfortable using your smart device you can always stop by Guest Relations for help locating your specific tile. These tiles are not for sale and are not able to be removed. But you can always visit the park to see your legacy for years to come.

While visiting and taking a glimpse into the past looking for your tile, I would be wrong not to mention the amazing new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This amazing indoor coaster was the most mind-blowing experience in my life. And it also takes you back in time so it fits this whole vibe of your visit to EPCOT to locate the 2 plaques your kids had made. Also always be on the lookout for one of the famous festivals when you visit. EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival are fantastic for food booths bringing the season's freshest ingredients. If it's during the holiday season the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays has a yearly "Cookie Stroll" where you can find seasonal cookies all around the park. All of it is just YUM!

I hope this information helps you find your legacy pictures easily and be sure to snap a pic so you don't have to travel the next time you just want to take a peek.

    Have a magical day!
