Hey there, Lisa. Welcome to
planDisney. Thanks for stopping by with your question.
Lisa, I totally understand wanting to be at the same resort as your kids and grandkids. Seeing their excitement splish' splashing in the pool or enjoying a Mickey waffle in the morning cannot be matched. Unfortunately,
Disney's Art of Animation Resort does not offer a fitness room on site. Additionally, the resorts that do have them don't offer any type of day pass because they are exclusively for the Guests staying at that particular resort. However, Disney's Art of Animation has a wonderful
jogging trail that takes you around the resort and Disney's Pop Century Resort. This could be perfect for an early morning walk or jog before it heats up for the day. The trail itself is 1.38 miles all the way around and you pass by so many cute things along the way - it's actually really fun! Another idea is to swim laps in the pool at the resort. You'll find several pools on property to choose from and I've found that they are never really super busy so you should have plenty of space to get in some water exercises during the day. If you have a car, you could check in to other fitness centers in the surrounding areas. I know a lot of chains offer day passes or even memberships that transfer to any facility.
If you have your heart set on having access to a fitness center, Lisa, then you might want to look into switching hotels.
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is in the moderate category and I know that have a really nice fitness room as well as many of the deluxe resorts.
I hope this helps. If you have any other questions about this, or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have a great week!
Jackie H.
