Kids are now 3.5 and almost 6 months. We're looking for the best experience for both if possible? I want the magic still there for the older, but I'm not sure that bringing a "baby" is a good idea. Wait until 5.5 and 2.5? Would a 2.5yo be able to

    Hey Sarah!

Thank you so much for asking me your question!  When to visit Walt Disney World with children is a very popular topic and one near and dear to my heart.

I honestly believe you could have fun visiting now or waiting until they are both a bit older.  There's really something for everyone at Walt Disney World and we've really enjoyed taking our children as infants, toddlers, and now with our oldest being a preschooler.  That being said, if you're planning a "once in a lifetime" type of trip, I would probably wait until the time period you mentioned.

I believe both kids would really "get" the magic at that age and really be able to take it all in.  While your 2.5 year old may not have memories of the trip later on, you'll have priceless memories in your heart for the rest of your life.  The toddler may not be able to ride the "big kid" rides depending on his height at the time of your visit, but with the Rider Swap option available, you and your husband can both experience riding those rides with the older child.

As an added bonus, waiting for a little while longer to take your magical vacation gives you extra time to save up so you can add extra magical experiences to your trip like a Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage or lots of great character dining.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!  I know you'll have an amazing time no matter when you visit.
