    My kids ages are 18, 14, and 5. The 5 year old tends to follow his older brothers around. Would a small drops thrill ride, like big thunder mountain railroad be too much for a 5 year old?

     Chandra, you are going to have the best time at the Walt Disney World Resort with your sons. I think it's so fun that your boys are in three different age groups! It will be super neat to watch them each experience the magic through different lenses. 

     I have two little guys, and I can certainly understand the dynamic of a younger son following an older son. Whether or not your 5-year old would enjoy a Small Drops Ride like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is really dependent on an individual basis. My youngest son is a thrill-seeker and my oldest is quite the opposite. During one visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, our 4-year old LOVED Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and our 6-year old really didn't care for it! We've found that the best way to prepare our biggest boy for thrill-type attractions is to watch videos online prior to our arrival. In previewing those attractions ahead of time, he can better gauge his personal willingness to give it a go. 

     If your little guy enjoys Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, be sure to try Seven Dwarfs Mine Train; it's our family-favorite attraction in Magic Kingdom Park!
