I am going with 2 kids under age 6. How will I ride the rides if they don’t seat 3 people? They are so excited to ride Seven Dwarfs but I don’t know how to go about that!!

Hello, Katie. Thank you for visiting planDisney with your Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question! Taking the little ones to The Most Magical Place On Earth is an absolute blast and will give you memories that will last a lifetime. It's so exciting!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the Walt Disney World Property Rules state that in order to board an attraction, children under the age of seven (7) must be accompanied by a Guest 14 years old or older. I love taking advantage of Rider Switch when visiting Disney World, but that would require you to have another Guest at your party. Rider Switch is used when a child doesn’t meet the height requirement or may not want to ride, so one adult can wait with the non-rider while the rest of the party enjoys the attraction. When finished, the adults swap spots, and the second adult can enjoy the ride without waiting in line. Pretty cool, right?

To get a better idea of what you will be able to enjoy while on vacationing with your two little ones, I would recommend that you visit the Attraction and Entertainment site and use the Height filter to see what your children can ride, and then click on specific attractions to learn more. Luckily for you, plenty of rides will allow you to sit three across, and not too many that your children would qualify for by height that would sit only two across and be an issue for your upcoming vacation. Some of my favorites would be Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Soarin’ Around the World, Frozen Ever After, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Toy Story Mania! and Kilimanjaro Safaris, to name a few.

Katie, if you want some other recommendations for visiting with little ones, I suggest you check out the planDisney Video Library. There are some great short videos with fantastic tips from fellow Guests like you and me! Tips that I like to share with families traveling with little ones are to buy the Refillable Resort Mugs, Refillable Popcorn Buckets, adding something bright to your stroller to it sticks out, and packing your own snacks to have available throughout the day. All little things that will go a long way to help you enjoy your visit!

If you have any other questions, like which resort to choose, what restaurants I recommend, or how I structure our days, please ask me a question! I would love to share more tips and tricks with you!

    See you real soon,
    Brent
