Hi! My kids are both very adventurous eaters. Jiko and Tiffins are on our list. Can my kids split an adult entree? What if we reserve the Tiffins River of Light dining package? Can we substitute one adult fish for two kids' entrees? Thanks!

    Hi Maureen,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us an excellent question about two of my favourite Disney dining locations: Tiffins and Jiko - The Cooking Place!

We’ve visited both of those restaurants several times with our little guy and you’re more than welcome to have both of your kids split an adult entree or to split your entree with one of them.

The only exception to that rule would be for the Rivers of Light Dining Package at Tiffins. There, everyone in the dining party has to pay the package price, regardless of what they order. From what I understand, this means that children must order off the kids’ menu. That being said, my little guy is a pretty adventurous eater too and he found lots of choice on the kids’ menu to satisfy him (it’s not just chicken nuggets and burgers on that menu). Show them what their options are and see what they say. Worse comes to worse, you can always offer them some of what’s on your plate, if they feel like sharing! Of course, you can always order something off the adult menu for them, on top of their kids’ meal, and pay for that dish separately.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
