Welcome to planDisney, Alisha!
I love that your adult children want to tap into the magic. Walt Disney World Resort is a bit like Neverland—there, we never have to really grow up. If you’ve visited the Disney Parks in the past, you’ll find that there are still so many ways (if not, more ways) to make memories at this Happy Place.
The short answer to your question is that your adult children do not need their own My Disney Experience accounts. The catch is that this is assuming that you will be with them. My husband has yet to create an account or download the
My Disney Experience App and I manage his visits just fine. If you’re with them, you can have their individually assigned theme park tickets and any other plans, like for
Lightning Lanes, under your account. Just make sure that they’re on your Family & Friends List.
AN EXTRA GEM: Yes! More than one phone can be logged in to the same My Disney Experience App. Sometimes if my little one wants to see the digital park map, I’ll hand him a spare device that’s logged in to my account so that he can play around in it. (I have to keep an eye on him, of course!)
If your kiddos are visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth on their own, or want to help you make plans online (like if two linked Guests want to get two different attractions’
Virtual Queue boarding groups), they will want their own My Disney Experience account and downloaded app. My pal Tamela has a
great breakdown about the process for them to create their own accounts. Their MagicBands+ should be linked to their own accounts. But recalling the scenario that I mentioned, my spouse’s MagicBand+ is linked to my account because he always visits with me.
Alisha, I am sending pixie dust to you and all of your children. I hope that you can continue to make core memories together at Walt Disney World. If you have any additional Disney vacation planning questions, revisit us here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
