Hi, Moms. My DH & I (and 2 kids) have ADR at CG for our anniversary. I plan to wear a sleeveless sheath dress that is somewhat dressy with moderate heels. Will I be overdressed? DD6 in princess costume. DS9 & DH in khakis & dress shirts:?

    Hi Rebecca!

Happy (almost) anniversary!  California Grille is the perfect spot to toast to your hubby and beautiful family!  Your "attire" sounds perfect!  California Grille, like several of the signature restaurants actually has a "business casual" dress code.  In practice, you'll find a mix of wardrobe choices that run the gamut from park gear to suits and cocktail dresses.  I find that the later in the evening your reservation is, the more "dressed" folks tend to get.  The great thing is that everyone feels comfortable.  My hubby and I like to get more dressed up when we go out in the evening to the signature restaurants, and what you've described parallels what we usually choose.  I even dress up my boys in matching outfits (something I know I will be punished for when the albums come out in the future, but I don't have the option of hitting the cute dress section at my local department store, so I appease myself with dressing them alike in matching polos!)

If you time your special evening right, you'll be able to enjoy Wishes from your table or the outside balcony at the California Grille.  Have a magical evening!
