Jambo, Marty!
Welcome to planDisney and Asante Sana (that means "thank you" in Swahili) for trekking by with your question. How exciting that you are thinking of staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village, as it is one of the most immersive of all of the Disney Resorts. I love how it transports me to a safari lodge, with animals in the savanah who are free to roam around all day, and free to do it all their own way!
Marty, Club Level rooms are a leveled-up experience, where Guests enjoy all of the traditional
amenities of the Resort along with a few extras. At the
Killiminjaro Club Level room type, you can enjoy:
- Access to Concierge service at the Kiliminjaro Club who can help you book dining reservations, tours, and other Enchanting Extras
- Complimentary health club access
- Personalized Front Desk and Guest Services
- Secured key access to the club-level lounge, serving refreshments 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily (subject to change)
It adds a bit of extra pixie dust to your stay with these added amenities.
While Kidani Village has several
Disney Vacation Club Deluxe Studios and Villas, typically the Club Level rooms do not have the kitchenettes that you see in the Deluxe Studios or the full-sized kitchens and in-room washer and dryer you would find in the Villas. However, they do come with a small fridge, a coffee and tea station, a patio or balcony, and Personalized Guest Services.
So, it is a bit of a trade off, in that with the Killimanjaro Club Level, you get the benefits mentioned above including access to the complimentary snacks and refreshments in the club-level lounge and access to the club-level concierge. However, you don't get the home-away-from home features that you find in a Disney Vacation Club room. Both are great options, but it just depends on what type of Disney experience you prefer. Personally, I love the home sweet home feeling of our Disney Vacation Club rooms, so that is my preference.
I hope this helps you, Marty! If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, journey back here to see me. All you gotta do is look left, then you've got to look right, I'll be right here, standing in the spotlight!
Kwaheri,
Keri
