Dear Ruby,
Based on your question, I'm going to guess you're planning a trip to the
Disneyland Resort, which is so very exciting!
Children between the ages of three and nine years old generally pay a discounted ticket price, which saves guests few dollars from regular Park admission prices.
When you purchase
tickets for children ages three to nine, Disneyland Resort Cast members usually don't request proof of age for the child. That's because it's implied that guests will be honest when buying tickets for their family members and parents can usually vouch for their kids when they arrive at the Parks.
In other words, you will not be asked for identification for your nine year old child.
Sometimes parents like to take a birth certificate or a photo ID for their kids, in an abundance of caution. I always say it's better to be safe than sorry but in my experience visiting the Parks, I've never seen a Cast member stop a parent to verify a child's age.
I hope this helps!
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Have a Magical time,
-Anabel M.
