My kid will be 7 when we go. In general (everyone is different) are there any parks that are geared for older kids that he may not enjoy as much? I’d rather go back to one he really likes several times than go somewhere he would be lukewarm about...

    Hi Steven:

I agree that every family is different, so there are probably at least four different answers to your question.  But I’m always happy to give my opinion.  I have two boys, ages 8 and 6, who have been traveling to Disney World since they were infants.  The one Park we tend to skip at this age is Animal Kingdom.  For my boys, it’s the least “fun” Park.  they’ve outgrown the animals (especially the petting zoo) and aren’t quite ready to tackle Expedition Everest.  My boys love Hollywood Studios.  Toy Story Mania is their favorite attraction on property, plus they really enjoy Star Tours, fighting Darth Vader in Jedi Academy, and Muppet Vision 3-D.  Epcot has an outdated reputation with a few of being geared towards older kids, but my boys love the Park, particularly Soarin’, Test Track, and Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure.  So depending on how many days you go, I would strongly consider trying out Hollywood Studios.

    Enjoy your vacation.
