We have Keys to the kingdom tour tickets on 4/24 and have to be there by 7:45am. We are staying at the grand Floridian and were told the monorail does not start running until 8am. How will we get to the park on time without a car??? Help I’m panicking!!

Hiya Dean - welcome to planDisney!

First, let me say that you made a great choice by booking Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour at Magic Kingdom Park. I experienced this Tour for the first time a few months ago and it was a fantastic experience. Not only did I learn a lot and get to see things most Guests never see, but it was also a great value - an absolutely perfect way to spend part of our day at Magic Kingdom!

You're making great choices left and right, Dean, and staying at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is no exception! I definitely understand your concern, but I do have a few ideas for you to consider. First, it is possible that the Monorail will be operating before 8 a.m. - it really does vary day to day based on numerous factors. I recommend asking your Resort Front Desk for more information about whether the Monorail will be an option for you.

If not, or if you want a firmer plan in place, you have a couple of other options. Though it is currently temporarily unavailable, the walking path from the Grand Floridian to Magic Kingdom may be the perfect option for you during your visit. Currently, it is listed as being available again in "late spring" so you'll just need to check it out upon your arrival.

Another great option is the Disney Minnie Van Service, a great private transportation option available for an additional fee via the Lyft app. A Cast Member will whisk your crew from the Grand Floridian Lobby straight to Magic Kingdom in a private vehicle! They typically start operations at around 6:30 a.m. each morning, meaning this is a great backup if the other options aren't certain to meet your needs!

I hope this eases your stress a bit, Dean. It's all going to be great - stop by any time with more questions for us!
