Hello there, Wendy!
Welcome to planDisney, we are so happy to have you. It sounds like you have a very exciting upcoming trip planned out with all the enchanting extras.
A Keys to the Kingdom Tour? How fun! You'll want to plan to be there early enough to get parked and situated before your tour time.
If you are driving into
Magic Kingdom, I would plan to arrive there at least one hour before your tour time. If your family is anything like mine, plan for ninety minutes of travel time; that way, you have that thirty-minute grace time if needed. I always plan to be there earlier than the reservation time because I would rather wait and be there than scramble to get there at the last minute. That’s just the natural planner in me, though.
When driving to Magic Kingdom, you will be parking at The Ticket and Transportation Center, or TTC. The TTC is not only the Magic Kingdom Parking lot, but also a
Resort Transportation hub as well. From there, you can take the Monorail over or the Ferryboat to Magic Kingdom. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to take a
Minnie Van over after you’ve parked. However, as long as you’ve given yourself the time to arrive, you’ll get there in time for your tour. I know there are a few transfers to get there, but the journey is part of the fun. As my family says, "Resort Transportation is the first ride of the day". We all know once we are on the Monorail or Ferryboat, we've made it. And we can let go and relax as we cruise into our Disney Vacation.
Wendy, I hope this helps formulate your arrival plan. If you have any other questions, please ask! We are all ears and ready to help make your visit a memorable one.
Magical Memories,
Shantel
