Hello! We have a Keys to the Kingdom tour at 8:00 AM 2/28 but it looks like transportation won't start until 8:30 that day. How do we get from the Poly to MK by about 7:45 or earlier? There must be something!

Hey Howdy Hey Lynn and welcome to planDisney!

It is so exciting to hear that not only will you be visiting Magic Kingdom later this month, but going on Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour is an amazing way to get a whole new appreciation of the park! It sounds like you may have some transportation concerns getting to Magic Kingdom. Let's go over a few options so you will be set and ready for your magical experience.

Your first option would be with Resort Transportation. From Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, this may be either with the monorail or by boat. Looking at the current park hours, Magic Kingdom is set to open at 9:00 AM EST with Early Entry at 8:30 AM. With Early Entry being at 8:30 AM, resort transportation will begin operations around 45 minutes before the parks open which should be at 7:45 AM. While they may start operations a bit earlier, this still is a tight timeline.

Another option you have is with Disney Minnie Van Service operated through the Lyft app. This is a rideshare option that will allow direct transportation from your location to Magic Kingdom and is probably the quickest option. Unlike other rideshares, Minnie Vans can drop you off closer to the park entrance where buses usually do and your walk would be so much shorter. Typical rideshares will drop you off at the Transportation and Ticket Center where you would still have to take the monorail or boat from that point to Magic Kingdom.

The last option that you will need to check on before the day of your tour is the walking path from the Polynesian to Magic Kingdom. Depending on walking speed this will take you around Seven Seas Lagoon and through the Grand Floridian Resort to get to Magic Kingdom in usually 15 to 20 minutes. It is a lovely walk however there is construction happening at the Polynesian that may have this walkway closed. If you want to try this option, make sure you check to see if it is open before your tour.

So you have a few options you can look into before your tour. I hope you enjoy your tour around Magic Kingdom and the Magic of the parks is just that much better after! Please feel free to stop back if you have any further questions, we are always happy to help.

    Have a Magical day,

    Nick
