We would like to do the keys to the kingdom tour in April but one of our daughters won't be 16 until June. Would there be any way that she could still do the tour with us?

Hi there, Jason! Welcome to planDisney. We’re so glad you’re here!

Oh my goodness, I’m so happy to hear you’re thinking of booking Disney’s Keys to the Kingdom Tour for your visit next year. This tour has been on my bucket list for such a long time, and I was finally able to book it for my trip in November. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about this tour, so like you, I can’t wait!

Now, Disney’s Keys to the Kingdom tour takes you through backstage areas, including the world-famous Utilidor, which is why the age requirement for this tour is 16 years and older. Unfortunately, your daughter would need to have already turned 16 before the tour date to be able to attend, and there is currently no way to override the age requirement. I know this may not be the answer you were hoping for, Jason, so I apologize for being the bearer of less helpful news!

However, if you still decide to take the tour, you’ll learn so many fabulous fun facts and stories about Magic Kingdom Park. So, perhaps you can find something special for your daughter to do while you go on the tour, and then you can meet up later in the day to share what you’ve learned. For example, she is able to enjoy a fabulous treatment at The Grand Floridian Spa as long as a parent or guardian accompanies her. What teen wouldn’t love a day at the spa, right?!

Jason, it would be my absolute pleasure to answer any other questions you may have ahead of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, so I hope to see you again real soon!

    Bye for now,
    Diana
