    When are the key to the world cards issued? When you board the ship or do you receive them beforehand? Thank you.

    Ahoy, Marcelle - 

    You've got excitement brewing now for your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation... has your final countdown began? I'm sure your whole household can't wait.

    Your Key to the World cards will be issued at the Port once you check-in and get ready to board the ship. You will not receive them beforehand. Each member of your travel party will receive their own card and each of you will need to scan this card to embark and debark the ship during your voyage. It will serve as your stateroom key as well as your onboard charge card. So, keep it handy and safe. Lanyards are great to use, since it keeps the cards on you all the time. Since the Disney Cruise ship handles cash-less transactions onboard, all purchases and charges will be done with your Key to the World card. Don't worry - you can control which cards have charging privileges :-).

    Printed on your cards will be your dining table number as well as your dining rotation. The letters correspond to the name of the restaurant that you'll be dining at each night. On the Disney Dream for example, it is: A - Animators Palate, E - Enchanted Garden, R - Royal Palace.
