How many key cards can fit in each lanyard provided onboard for Castaway Club members?

Ahoy, Mary, and welcome back to planDisney! Your cruise is just a few more weeks away, and pretty soon you'll be out on the open water looking at the line where the sky meets the sea. How exciting! Thanks for bringing your question to us about Castaway Club lanyards. Let's dive right into it!

As you know, Disney Cruise Line's loyalty program is called the Castaway Club and consists of four tiers based on how many Disney cruises you've sailed on. Everyone is a member after their first cruise, and for each cruise thereafter, everyone currently receives a Castaway Club lanyard to proudly show their status. This lanyard is designed to hold your Key to the World Card, which serves as your room key, card for charging your on-board purchases to your account and your admission to debark and board the ship in ports. Each lanyard is intended to hold one Key to the World Card as space is tight in the card holder. Personally, I've been able to fit my card and my Driver's License in mine, because that's also needed to get back into the port areas to reboard the ship. Based on that, I'd say the maximum number of cards you can fit is two.

As an alternative to the Key to the World Card, you could purchase a DisneyBand+ for those in your party who'd rather not use the card. It's a fun alternative because it's also interactive. Based on some of your previous questions, I believe you're sailing on the Disney Wish. I won't give away any spoilers, but when I sailed on the Wish, I was delighted when my DisneyBand+ interacted with certain features while dining at Worlds of Marvel, during some shows and deck parties.

Mary, I hope your cruise is wonderful and warm and that you make so many magical memories on the sea. If you have any other questions, please bring them back to us here at planDisney.

    Have a magical cruise!
