Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Patricia!
I always consider it a treat to assist Guests from the Keystone State. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania. That's where I lived when I first fell in love with Walt Disney World Resort.
I so envy you with your upcoming stay at
The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The
amenities at this blissful, elegant resort are truly impressive. There's nothing like being one monorail stop away from Magic Kingdom Park. Be sure to be on the lookout for the whimsical fountain in the lobby of The Villas. I just love the penguins from Mary Poppins that appear there. And here's another charming detail that many Guests miss - the external indicator on the elevators is a replica of Mary Poppins' bumbershoot, or umbrella. Pretty cool, huh?
Since you will be staying in a two-bedroom villa, you will find a full-sized coffee maker instead of a Keurig machine. That means, of course, that you can make more coffee at once. If you are a coffee connoisseur like my husband, be sure to make time during your stay to follow the delightful walkway over to
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. On the second floor of their Great Ceremonial House, you'll find
Kona Island. You can walk right up to the counter there and order a cup of their world-famous Kona coffee. My husband loves it!
Enjoy your stay in the middle of the magic. Do let us know if you need any additional advice as you move forward with your vacation planning.
Sending best wishes and pixie dust,
Jill
