When will the kennel reopen? It states permanently closed online.

Hiya, Krista, and welcome to planDisney!

This is a great question, and one that my fellow panelists and I have been wondering lately, too. We also noticed that the Disneyland Resort Kennel page on Disneyland.com is no longer working, and the Kennel no longer shows up on the online Disneyland Resort map, either. Though we haven’t received an official update or announcement regarding the Kennel, it’s safe to say that it’s still unavailable, and best to move forward with other plans for your pooch for now, unfortunately. I wish I had more information to share, but at this moment we’re both going to have to stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for any news or updates.

So, I recommend looking into other pet boarding services available in the city of Anaheim. I did a quick online search and found several options in the surrounding area. Also, since the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort don’t allow pets, I went ahead and looked up some pet-friendly hotel options, in case you’re planning an overnight stay. I found 15 pet-friendly Good Neighbor Hotels, which are Disney-approved hotels close to the Disneyland Resort.

I hope you’re able to find an option you’re comfortable with, Krista! I know just how precious our furry family members are, including Goofy and Pluto!

Best of luck and pixie dust!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Greetings from sunny California! I live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder (and now a Magic Key Passholder) for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids ages 5-10, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Learn More About Kristin
