Hiya Emily!
Welcome to planDisney!
Thank you so much for sending this
Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR. I'm also a big-time dog mom, so much so that my petite Pluto was in my wedding! I'm so sorry to be the one to share this, but we recently hEARd that the Disneyland Kennel will not be reopening. This makes me sad because so many Pongos, Maries, Iagos, Oswalds, and non-venomous Kaas have loved spending time at The Happiest Place on Earth as their parents played nEAR.
Something that you might be able to look into is a nearby Doggy Daycare; even though you'll have to drive to see your precious pooch,
Disneyland Theme Park parking rates are valid all day with
unlimited in-and-out privileges. Another suggestion would be to book a
Pet-friendly Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel and either check in on your precious pup throughout the day or hire a local Pet Sitter to do that for you. I've had good luck finding a sitter on Care.com as well as Rover.com.
While this isn't the same as being able to check in on your best boy or good girl, you'll still be able to shop for your pet while in the parks as there are multiple collections just for our furry friends! The Disney Tails collections offers
pet beds, leads, toys, and even cookies. You can even sometimes find people and
pet matching dresses and
spirit jerseys! I even just saw a preview of the newest
Halloween collection and not only are there pet costumes but there are also even accessories like wings and wigs!
I'm so sorry to share such disappointing news, Emily. But hopefully you have plenty of time to make other arraignments. Be sure to follow the
official planDisney Panel Instagram account as we're sharing all kinds of tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disneyland Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
