I keep seeing on the website when getting to the park I need to show them my “magic band” or “card”. I booked online and have a barcode email, will this let me into the park? Also, how can I confirm I have booked BOTH tickets and a reservation?

    Hey there, Lindsey!

Thanks for coming to planDisney with your question about theme park tickets and theme park reservations. It's exciting to hear you're getting so close to your visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

You've purchased your theme park tickets, and that's great! Now let's talk about the next quick steps you'll want to take. Let's start by talking about linking your tickets to your My Disney Experience account and making your theme park reservations. Later we'll talk about picking up your theme park admission card.

You'll want to link the theme park tickets you purchased to your My Disney Experience account. Start by going to the "Let's Link Your Reservations and Purchases" page on the Walt Disney World Resort website and selecting "tickets." You'll be prompted to enter the ticket order number from your confirmation email. You can also use the My Disney Experience mobile app and scan the barcode. Once you have linked your theme park tickets, you will see that they display in the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section of your My Disney Experience account in the "Tickets & Memory Maker" tab. If you are using the My Disney Experience mobile app, your tickets will display when you tap "Tickets and Passes."

With your tickets linked to your My Disney Experience account, you can make your theme park reservations. It's helpful to check out the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar. This helps you see that the theme park you wish to visit has availability on the day you want to visit.

You can use the Disney Park Pass system to make your theme park reservations. It's a quick and easy process. You select who's going to the theme park, select a date, and then select a theme park. You can then repeat the process for additional days and additional theme parks. Once you have made your park reservations, you will see that they display in the "My Plans" section of your My Disney Experience account.

Ok, so you've purchased your theme park tickets, linked them to My Disney Experience, and made your theme park reservations. You can see both your tickets and your theme park reservations in your "My Plans" section.

When you arrive at the theme park, you can visit the Guest Relations Window located just outside the park's main entrance to pick up your physical theme park admission card. You can also visit the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs.

If you need additional help with these steps, you can contact the Walt Disney World Resort Internet Help Desk team at (407) 939-7765.

Lindsey, I hope this info helps with the steps you'll want to take to get ready for all the fun you'll enjoy at Walt Disney World Resort. Enjoy the magic!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
