I keep seeing people say it is a long walk from the LM rooms at AOA; how far distance wise it from the buses (a block? more?) and from the pools and front desk? How does this compare to POR? Thanks for your help

    Hi Amanda!

While the Little Mermaid standard rooms at Disney's Art of Animation Resort are definitely furthest from the resort bus stop, they're not terribly "far" away! You may find it to be about a 10 minute walk, about 2 blocks if you're in the furthest building. It's the same distance roughly to the Animation Hall and Big Blue feature pool areas. It's a visually stunning property that's sure to please everyone in your travel party with it's immersive experience.

At Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, there are multiple bus stops located around the perimeter of the large property. Walking distances from resort rooms to bus stops may vary here from 2 - 10 mins.
Port Orleans - French Quarter is the smallest property, with just one bus stop and walks of no more than 5 minutes from any location.

None of these walking distances are unbearable or uninteresting. There's plenty to look at along the short journey to arrive at your bus depot area and all are very enjoyable properties to consider your stay at!

If you have any other questions about these properties, please write me back and I'd be more than happy to assist you in making your decisions.

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your great question Amanda.

Wishing you a simply Magical time as you plan your next Walt Disney World vacation!
